Mr Drew to talk to Education students about life as a teacher

Published: 17 October 2014

Teacher and TV star Stephen Drew will be on campus this weekend to speak to members of the Primary Education Society.

The star of Education Essex and Mr Drew’s School For Boys will talk to the group about managing extreme behaviour in the classroom and motivating male students to learn and engage with their learning – issues that many newly qualified teachers (NQTs) struggle with in their first year of teaching.

The event has been organised by student members of the society which this year was revamped to offer a wider range of educational activities including talks from guest speakers plus opportunities to add to their CV such as drama workshops and online e-learning courses.

The talk took place on Sunday 19 October.
